A recent parking lot construction where we carefully graded subgrade to achieve proper drainage. We then installed crushed stone and graded it with our  highly precise automated grading system. Compaction via vibratory roller sealed the project. 

A pond that we recently constructed.  The dam was built by "coring" with onsite clay and and was then layered with more clay to seal and discourage leakeage. Mutliple culverts were installed to control the water level. A spillway was then constructed in case of abnormal flooding.

Quality built roads is one of our specialties. We begin by building a crowned roadbed and compacting it for a solid base. We install swells and ditches for drainage as necessary. Once we install gravel we use fine-grade grading techniques and vibratory compaction which results in a smooth, high quality road that will last for years to come.

Shore line stabalization is often necesarry when developing water front properties. When properly performed, it will provide stabilization for years to come and be appealing to the eye. We begin by cutting and building out a uniform shoreline with existing soil. We then line it with a heavy-weight fabric that helps prevent erosion and weed growth. Finally we cover it with a thick layer of rip-rap stone and flatten it down it for that finished look.

On this site we built a dirt pad in preparation for a new shop construction.  As the project developed we cut drainage swells and graded the site to obtain proper drainage away from the shop. We finished the parking lot by installing and compacting crushed stone.

When prepping for concrete pours, precision is essential. On this project we used our automated grading system to obtain a highly accurate grade. This makes for easier and more accurate calculations when figuring concrete quantities. This can save you big money as a contractor, especially on bigger projects where even a half inch can greatly impact your yardages.

Many house sites are benefited with a properly intalled basement. On these projects at Lake Gaston, we excavated a "walkout" basement. Drains were installed around the perimeter. We then installed washed stone in preparation for a pre-cast wall system.

On this industrial site, a crossing through a wetland was needed to connect to a new parking lot that we had previously constructed. To follow the specifications of the obtained permit, we installed 60 ft. of 4 ft. diameter culvert. We then installed clay followed by screenings to build it up to the necessary grade. These were installed in lifts and each lift was compacted. We then layed  heavy-weight non-woven fabric and topped it with compacted crushed stone. Rip-rap was installed around culvert ends to prevent ersoion. Topsoil, seeding and straw blanket gave it the finishing touch.
